We often access the remote backup to "grab" past files when a drawing has been overwritten and we need to refer back to an earlier version. However, a year or so ago it was invaluable to us following a hardware failure which caused temporary suspension of our own server. PCM were able to create a remote login for our engineers, who then simply downloaded the files they needed to work on via the Internet to local PCs, enabling us to provide continuity of service.

Having already experienced the convenience, simplicity and inherent reliability of a remote backup service, we quickly realised that the demands of our day to day work in terms of volume and importance were much better and more efficiently served by a professional service. Our main requirement was peace of mind - we are always mindful of our responsibilities to our clients in ensuring the security of their drawings and associated data, and need to know that to know that a professional backup system exists to provide these levels of protection. PCM provide us with an excellent background service. We are architects, not IT professionals, and if problems occurred with our previous systems, information recovery was not necessarily an easy project, demanding both time and money. Now, we can either recover files ourselves quickly and easily, or simply request assistance from PCM to email us the required folders.
