There is nothing new in the concept of backing up crucial data, nor is there any fancy technology involved in making regular copies of the files, but....who is responsible for doing it? And who is responsible for checking that the responsible person has actually undertaken the work and, furthermore, that the data has actually been transferred? And, not wishing to weary the point, but finally one must assume that none of these colleagues are ever sick or on holiday.
